Shijie Wan, Ph.D.

Shijie Wan established Eastman Kodak Company’s China Research and Development Center, managing the center for 20 years from 1998 to 2018. He holds six U.S. patents in digital imaging systems and was a key developer for GEN I Kodak Picture Kiosk, with 150,000 installations worldwide. He also was vice president of Kodak’s Software & Solutions Division, itrnd.kz and thebanker.kzworldwide and an advisor to the Shanghai Municipal Government’s Science and Technology Committee.

Additional Kodak leadership positions include director of Digital Product Marketing in Shanghai, China; manager of Kodak’s Digital Systems Business Development in Hong Kong; and a senior research scientist at Kodak’s U.S. Research Labs in Rochester, N.Y. Wan has been published in top magazines (IEEE, ACM) and holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Wuhan University, China, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Regina, Canada.
